Spirit Holbox

The hotel’s restaurant is right on the beach, allowing you to enjoy a delicious breakfast and sip your coffee while taking in the ocean view. Pro: I forgot my AirPods in the room, and the staff arranged to have them delivered to me at the ferry before I boarded.

We booked Spirit for my birthday trip and I am really happy with our choice! It’s relatively close to the action but further away enough to enjoy peace and tranquility. The rooms are spacious and gorgeous - we loved the swinging bed! Our room was right below the rooftop pool and we’d hear the sound of the water which was like a spa experience for me. A taxi to the center is like $10-$15 depending on the destination. The staff is sweet and friendly, making sure you’d have everything you need. One night we forgot some gifts we bought in the taxi and the front desk employee was able to retrieve them in the morning for us - everyone is really amazing and treating their clients like kings. If you’re a girl and you come for the first time in Holbox - please don’t bring a million pairs of heels because you won’t be able to wear them - no street paving whatsoever - but I feel like this is the charm of Holbox. We fell in love with the island and its amazing people and we surely will be back - and once we do - we’ll stay in Spirit again. Muchísimas gracias para todo, amigos! Hasta la próxima vez!

- 4 swimming pools (small but beautiful). 2 in the hotel next door - great views from the rooftop - free access to the fragatta beach club with a nice beach and sun beds - good kitchen (both beach club and roof top) at reasonable prices - good breakfast included - spacious rooms with good airco - quiet location on the island

Totally recomend Spirit Holbox. Our room was very spacious with a unique layout, clean (I loved the shamppoo and conditioner). The staff is really friendly. The food at the rooftop delicious specially the tacos de Birria. The breakfast was wonderful with fruit, granola, yogurt, bread, coffee and juice and eggs to request. The only con is that is a little far away from downtown - about 15 minutes walk but closer to punta cocos.

The comfort and cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. We also walked/ cycled to other areas and beaches, and felt like the beach area right at the hotel is the best on the island-semi private and tranquil.
